Welcome, Oh Blessed Messy One!

Hi! I am Gemma North, CORE Coaching Founder. I trained as a coach with Barefoot Coaching Ltd, an ICF accredited course, and have three years of professional coaching experience and am a proud ICF member. I specialise in self-confidence, work-life boundaries and life-change coaching.

I am a soon-to-be-wife, mum of one, step-mum of three and dog-mum to a black Labrador. These roles are precious to me and am proud of all of the resources that I pour into them. In addition, I am a business owner and coach. I often find juggling all the demands and responsibilities of work/life overwhelming, so I find ways to prioritise myself, in order that I always have a full cup to pour. Some days are more successful than others but I'd like to share with you some of those self-care tips along the way, if you'd be so kind to oblige. Some of them you may well already do, have heard of before, or want to try for yourself. Or you may have some extra you want to throw into the mix. I'd love that!

As we get to know each other, I feel it would be useful for you to know what my core values are, after all, they are what I live by - my rule book, if you like.

So, my CORE values are:

Creativity - a need to colour in my life at every given opportunity to avoid stagnancy and complacency. Enjoying and celebrating the power of creativity in all walks of life.

Authenticity - a vow to trust myself and what I need along with valuing others' pursuance of authentic living.

Respect - honouring my self-respect, holding people to my standards of respect relationally, and an offering of respect (where it is earned).

Curiosity - a desire to use all the senses to uncover all the opportunities. Leave no stone unturned.

Honesty - a promise to myself and my loved ones that I am transparent and trust-worthy. Prioritising honest conflict over dishonest harmony.

What are yours? I would love to know. And if you haven't refined them yet, drop me an email and I will send you through a FREE Values worksheet to get you started.

Future blogs promise to bring thought-provoking coaching insights to help with juggling all the stuff, observations from my people-watching obsession and my real-time mid-life tribulations. And of course, it is also a place for us all to bless this mess and share in the sublime and ridiculous elements of doing life.
